West Africa

We pioneered educational work for women in Ghana from 1926; later medical work was added. All the institutions we founded were handed over to the local church or government once they were well established.

Now a new phase has begun at Jachie, near Kumasi, where two young Ghanaian Sisers are helping to establish a house to foster vocations to the religious life; many young women have already shown an interest. In keeping with our tradition of service, one sister runs an
eye clinic to meet local needs.
